Hey everyone,

Just a reminder that if you're looking for something to do on Saturday, the Freewheeling Folk Benefit is happening at 7 pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall (Queenston Rd. & Parkdale). Headliner Stephen Fearing will appear, along with Lynn Harrison, Gregg Lawless (w/ Steve Briggs) and Ed Vandendool.

We are looking like we might break last year's pledge total of $18,500. We'll keep you posted!

Over the holidays the university is closed. This runs from the evening of Friday, Dec 23 through to Monday, Jan 2 when the school reopens. During this time the MUSC is locked up. Do not ask me about getting security to leave a door open...we've tried, it's not going to happen.

So there are a few things I can tell you to do, both officially and off the record.

Officially, you can:

- go to the Security office and get a key. This is likely necessary for people who are here for morning shows. The Security office is in the Clarke Centre (the building attached to the big smokestack on the west campus...can't miss it...same building as the Parking office, but a different door). Your name should be on the security list. If it is not (sometimes the lists are outdated) they are to page me and I will clear you over the phone. You will be asked to leave some ID until you come to return the key. YOU MUST REMEMBER TO RETURN THE KEY! If you don't, well, you'll be called at home and made to truck on back.
